Upgrade Instructions

These Firmware Upgrade instructions are for the following players :

• Sanyo DAV 821

WARNING : FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CORRECTLY WILL RESULT IN A DAMAGED AND UNUSABLE DVD PLAYER !!! WE ACCEPT NO RESPONSIBILTY FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR PLAYER BY USING THIS UPGRADE CD.

1) Switch on the player.

2) Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray

3) Place the disc in the tray and press the OPEN/CLOSE key to load the disk. 

4) The player will show "Reading"

5) Six Seconds later the display will change to "ROM WRITE"

6) Eight Seconds later the Sanyo welcome screen will disappear from the TV and in it's place a black screen will be seen , this is normal DO NOT switch off the player.

7) Ten Seconds later the disc tray will open automatically. Take the disc out but leave the disc tray open.

8) a further 10 seconds later the player will display "GOODBYE" after which the player will switch into standby.

9) Now press the POWER key , the display will show "HELLO" followed by the disc tray automatically closing and the Sanyo Welcome screen appearing on the TV
